On December 19, 2025, the Thai military conducted a series of deliberate airstrikes by F-16 Fighter Jet targeting the O Jik Bridge, a civilian infrastructure, located in Srei Snam District, Siem Reap Province bordering Chong Kal District, Oddar Meanchey Province:

– 10:55 pm, First F-16 strike 1 bomb was dropped.
– 11:00 pm, Second F-16 strike 1 bomb was dropped.
– 11:10 pm, Third F-16 strike 1 bomb was dropped.
These strikes occurred deep within Cambodian sovereign territory and mark the second time the O Jik Bridge has been targeted, following a previous F-16 attack on December 15, 2025. These actions constitute a reckless and indiscriminate assault on non-military targets. Given the bridge’s proximity to displaced civilian camps and essential infrastructure, these strikes represent a grave violation of International Humanitarian Law, specifically the principle of distinction, which mandates the protection of civilians and civilian objects during armed conflict.
